Don’t be afraid of paradise, be afraid of the masquerade that would undergo to make it seem real. After all, if a lie by itself is so powerful, imagine how one could shape the world, off a single lie, off a single, near-meaningless construct, for what it true to me, is most certainly different compared to what is truth to you. That, is what makes a masquerade so powerful. Not the lie, but what it took to commit the action.
