During a quite vivid descriptive teaching of events during certain dynasties I was talking about in China’s numerous civil disputes, someone once said I made the history come to life the way I told the stories, the way I made the history come to life using nothing but words. Quite a nice complement if I say so myself! They might not have learned much about the history, and I can’t claim to be a great teacher by any high regard, but they did remember how I told it. Writing a story’s easy, it’s the way it’s told that makes all the difference in the world . In fact, most times, the story’s already there or somewhere, you just need to know where to dig.
