My Daily Dose Of Writing 142

daily dose of writing cover

“I wish I could explain how every fake smile I make is just you finding me trying to repair a priceless porcelain vase using craft glue. That every smile I make isn’t fake because it’s wrong, it’s fake because it has to be. It’s fake because my smile broke a long time ago by people that should have made it wider, but that doesn’t mean I don’t know when I want to smile. I constantly repair it like a broken mosaic and hope that they leave soon enough so that they don’t see the vase being held with craft glue, crack into a thousand more pieces.”
