It’s official, I’m making hardcover versions of my book by hand. Well, off to learn another skill. Awaaaaaaaaaaaaay!
Since I’m a bit busy at the moment, I’ll just give some advice and say that you should always try new things. I may not be the best at making hardcover books, but it’s that learning experience that I think is important. Even if you fail to do something on your own, you at least know what you did wrong and can learn from it. I’ve learnt countless things simply by studying others mistakes to ensure I don’t make them. I’m not saying that this is the best way to learn by any means, but I feel that everyone should try to learn something new on their own first. Even if they fail, who knows, maybe they’ll be able to help someone else. Maybe even they’ll be able to teach someone else from those mistakes like how I’ve been learning. Anyhow, just some of my two cents
